HEC UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR BALOCHISTAN COASTAL REGIONS 2023 for exceptional students residing in the coastal region of Balochistan, specifically in the districts of Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat), and Awaran. The scholarship is open to those who plan to pursue undergraduate studies in any field of study at HEC-recognized public/private sector universities or degree-awarding institutions (DAs) in Pakistan. Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must hold a domicile/local certificate of Gwadar, Lasbela Hub, Kech (Turbat), or Awaran District of Balochistan.
- Applicants must have completed 12 years of education with a minimum of 50% marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification.
- Both SSC and HSSC or equivalent must have been completed from a college/institute located in any of the defined districts of Balochistan, i.e., Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat), and Awaran.
- Students already enrolled in a BS program before the advertisement, up to a maximum of one academic year/session, are eligible to apply.
- The maximum age limit for applicants is 22 years as of the closing date.
- Applicants must meet the HEC and university criteria for admission to the BS program.
- Those already receiving any other HEC/Government scholarship are not eligible to apply.
- Result-awaiting students are not eligible to apply.
How To Apply:
- Applicants should submit their applications online via the HEC website https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk. No hard copies of the application or any other documents are required at this stage.
- An application processing fee of Rs 500/- (non-refundable) must be deposited by the applicants in Habib Bank Limited Account Number: 1742 7900 1334 01. The title of the account is Higher Education Commission, and the branch code is 1742.
- The original bank payment record/slip must be uploaded along with the online application and kept safe by the applicant to present it at the test center. No one will be allowed to sit in the test without producing the original bank deposit slip.
- After completing the application form, applicants must submit the online application. Saved or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without providing any reason.
